There are now two 1982 Washington commem 50cs graded PCGS MS70!

These have been the holy grail for modern commem collectors for decades. Does anyone know when these got graded? It must have been fairly recently.

Maybe Mitch @wondercoin has some insight on this.

I agree, considering what happened with the last one that was graded perfect, and what Mitch did with it, I can’t think of anyone more qualified

I guess Subway Tokens couldn’t have picked a better time to sell the collection than right now. Fighting for these new MS70s might be very expensive. And, we all know what happened when I bought the original pop 1 coin years ago that looked to me like a train ran over it (well not quite that bad) and the MS70 then regraded MS68 when I handed it back to PCGS. Be ultra safe and get a second professional opinion as to whether either of these 2 new coins are true 70s before chasing them.

    Just my 2 cents.

I have one of these... and it looks like it could be a 70 - except, on the reverse are a couple of 'somethings' that are either marks or stuff inside the capsule... I really cannot determine which it is, and I have not removed it from the capsule to investigate. Will add that to my 'to do' list. ;) Cheers, RickO

    You got my neck hairs up. I have 1 MS 67 (wa-waaaaah :( ) and 2 PR69s.
    Me no lucky. :/
I was thinking that may have been due to sitting around for almost 4 decades before being graded. Then realized the UNCs were in a plastic / cellophane (?) wrap and not an airtite capsule.
