Are my eyes playing tricks or do you have an 09-S VDB in there?

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

@JimW
I started one in the late 70's in dansco then started again lately. I had a bunch of coins left from the first time, I decided to do it again @seanq that's not a 09 s vdb in it I did have one in the first one, it's just a wheat coin.
Not meaning in anyway to hijack this thread, but just voicing my observations with regards to these old cardboard albums.
The 09-S VDB in the raw was the main reason I transferred my coins from the Whitman to the Dansco.
It may very well be my imagination but the below picture of my second album from 1941 shows that the ink and cardboard may have detrimental effect on the coins since a lot of the replacement BU coins inserted in it are also starting to turn.
Not sure if I still have a Lincoln folder in my safe, but I am quite sure that I have no 1909svdb 🙂
100th pint of blood donated 7/19/2022 . Transactions with WilliamF, Relaxn, LukeMarshal, jclovescoins, braddick, JWP, Weather11am, Fairlaneman, Dscoins, lordmarcovan, Collectorcoins, SurfinxHI, JimW. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
I think the cardboard holders do change the coins as well. The old dansco stayed BU coins where the cardboard has not. @vulcanize
I had the old dansco a long time.
I like the album of cents.... have thought about doing one over the years.... In fact, about 30+ years ago, I did start one.... I think it is still packed away in one of those 'moving' boxes that never seem to get opened or emptied. Only had a few coins - 15 or 20, I forget. Probable should get it out and sit with my gallon jar of wheaties one day. Cheers, RickO
Ken,
Nice effort, brings back memories for me too.
back in the day all I thought about was how would all the expected green beans fit between the board holes
I don't even remember, "green beans" until I got back in it a couple years ago! All you used to have to worry about was getting coins graded by PCGS or ANACS for attribution. (PCGS didn't do many attributions) boy how times have changed over the past years!! @marcmoish

I get that. I was referring to the 70s much earlier altogether, in jest, way prior to CAC.
Keep it up.

no way man. now you need to get some capped/bust/seated silver coinage to toss in the bag. remember, this stuff is JUST pocket change.
