Guess the Grade: 1907 $10 Indian No Motto REVEALED
I bought this 1907 $10 Indian No Motto raw from an estate, along with several other nice gold ones, and submitted it for grading a few months ago. I recently received the grades. Following are TrueView images:

I am not the best at grading gold, but that looks really nice! I guess 65?

Beautiful color. Superb condition. I grade it “I want it in my collection.”

Beautiful example!
That’s one I really want in my collection too!
Congratulations on whatever it graded!
But, that said, I’ll venture a guess of 66+

Just picked this up, for comparison. 64+ CAC
64 is my guess.
64 sounds about right. Great looking coin.

Put me down for 65. Great coin.
Yeah, same -- I chased a real nice 58 in an auction last fall as far as felt reasonable to me. But I was about 15% short.
You guys don’t see the scratches on the cheek ? Ms62
I'll say 64.

Looks like a solid 64 to my old eyes. A beautiful piece no matter what the grade👍
I do see the minor scratches... but still looks like a 65 to me.... Very nice gold coin. Cheers, RickO
Wow very nice! You put my AU 55 to shame

Much nicer than MANY of equal, and even higher grades of this issue IMO.
You have a super coin there!

Here is my 63+. She looks worst than your.

I thought that was a 64 for sure! Great looking coin.
Here’s my 63 CAC for comparison (apologies for my terrible photos). I think it’s nice for a 63, but not as nice as the OP’s. I believe that the CAC price guide nearly doubles at 64, so a PQ 63 can represent good value.
Here is my 64CAC PCGS 1907. I too thought the OP's coin was better than 63.

I guessed 64 but waffled a little. There is one significant scratch on the cheek that would prevent me from buying the coin in a 64 holder. But it looks like a really fantastic 63. Looks like everyone has a no motto $10. I still have a big hole in my type set. So who wants to sell me one of these?

I still grade it MS62. That hooked shape scratch on the cheek is deep and was most likely a staple.
It's been my experience that the grades for the 1907 No Motto $10 Indian gold are all over the place. I have one in an MS-61 holder that could make MS-63 on a good day. I have another in a PCGS MS-64, CAC holder that just makes the grade. I think the issue is the soft strike and often frosty, not bright luster, that is frequently seen on this issue.

Overall, I'm happy with the MS-63 from PCGS. I think there is a chance it could get a CAC sticker one day.
I have another 1907 No Motto graded MS-64 by NGC and my PCGS example is pretty close to it.
Yes, most really nice examples of the 1907 have really deep, satiny luster which really pop since the fields have such large areas free of raised designs.
The 1907 No Motto is my favorite U.S. coin... I was really tempted to leave it unslabbed.
I bought several other nice raw gold coins from the same estate... I'll post a few in the coming days.
