After many years, though not much effort, I finally found a nice one.

I have no numismatic wall art.... Sure do have a lot of coins laying around though... :D Just about anywhere I go in the house, there are some coins... Some special, a lot of pocket change... A couple of really good ones (I like to look at gold coins). Cheers, RickO

alpha33 - Thanks so very much for sharing. As a Norman Rockwell fan, I’ve seen and admired this painting before, but forgot all about it until I saw this post last night. I then went on eBay, and bought an unframed canvas (supposedly in excellent condition), and it also includes the original letter than accompanied it from the Franklin Mint Collectors Society. Here’s a photo of that letter:

I won this huge 30"x30" piece of artwork at the 2013 Chicago ANA from a raffle hosted by APMEX. After the high-fives and congratulatory photos, it became obvious that nobody had a plan to get it to my house. I schlepped the thing a few blocks from the convention center to a FedEx office in a rather hastily-made cardboard box. Surprisingly enough, it arrived in excellent condition.

The Peace Dollar artwork was created by Shellee Graham, one of APMEX's staff photographers. She contacted me on this forum after I got home and we struck up a bit of a conversation. It's a pretty cool piece and still hangs in my man cave:

    Regarding the Rockwell painting: https://www.christies.com/en/lot/lot-5793592

The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

The art of toning takes time.
I do have a lot of Charles Daughtrey's work hanging in the shop.

love the piece and what impresses me most is that was created as far back as at least 2013!!!

since you conversed with the creator, did you find out if this piece is unique or x of xxx ? perhaps one day, if opportunity provides (if it hasn't already), have the opportunity for the creator to sign the back?

IIRC, It’s a numbered, limited edition print with a COA. When I get home I’ll look.

I think the bottom pix resembles a bee. Now I'm really worried about myself. Am starting to think I can actually recognize something in Mr.Emeralds posted pixs. :D

Well, it's been a while... Working title: "The Liberty Head". Much more numismatic than "The Melted Coins".

“He didn’t show it to me, but I think I know where it is,” Frank replied. He got the safe key from the banker’s pocket, unlocked the box, and lifted out all the folders except the last one. After putting them aside on the desk, he took out the remaining cover and opened it.
It contained only a single coin, a 1913 Liberty Head nickel!
“My uncle’s coin!” Vern cried out.
“Well, I guess that solves both mysteries,” Frank declared.
“But we haven’t found the big boss of the car-theft ring yet,” Joe pointed out.

    @alpha33 Nice! Excellent thread.
I framed mine without the border stuff.

No idea where to display this, and amazed that there is a thread for it! But, a map of the Holy Roman Empire and coins of the realm in their geographic locations. I thought the replica talers would be interesting, sadly, they all have environmental damage... but someone put this together with care....

Beautiful thread! I really like antique maps too so that number just above hits the mark for me. The Norman Rockwell I've never seen before. The dog really makes it for me: they're always interested in whatever we're doing. Also the old guy's smoking jacket. Another era!

The Peace Dollar montage is spectacular. Did she run prints for distribution or sale? Wonder how she chose 1924 as the date?
