Stunning 53.
HOF SIGNED FOOTBALL RCS
Just picked this up.
Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Topps 1952 variations
1955 Variation, truncated logo
Not pretty but two of his toughest of his Topps cards to run down
I’ve started picking up these 1955 Golden stamps. If you buy the booklet you get the JR stamp and also a cut card from the cover, both graded by most companies.

Kiss me twice.....let's party.
You can have Mantle and Jackie on the same card!
The card that exemplifies Jackie Robinson and his accomplishment more so than any of his cards in existence. It is the
only contemporary card to have the balls to touch upon the duress in Jackie's triumph. Made in 1948 with less than 200 graded examples in existence....rare and gorgeous!
It's really sad that Robinson is in the HoF as a builder. I guess I just assume most people today have no idea how great a player he was.
Robinson was a first ballot Hall of Famer and inducted for his playing.
From 1936 to 1962 there were no first ballot Hall of Fame inductees....Robinson and Feller broke that drought in 1962.
I get your point, but do you suppose the people who see his number retired by every team think that?
I see what you mean. Some may think he is in there due to his groundbreaking achievement as opposed to his play on the field. I suppose there are people that may think that.
A few Jackie R autos that my bro got back in the day.
Bronx, that signed RC is a holy grail card. WOW

Thought I'd share a card from my Robinson collection after noticing this thread (included with the card is a Letter of Authenticity signed by his wife Rachel stating it "was his personal card").
As many have stated before, he was truly a pioneer and his impact is still felt today.

A couple more contributions to this thread that haven't been pictured as of yet (hard to choose a favorite from the Bond Bread set, but I've always felt the image used for this card is one of the best from the set).

See. I told you. Robinson only gets respect for being a "pioneer" whose "impact is still felt today", not the great player that he was. It's very sad.
Apologies for not also mentioning Jackie's accomplishments during his professional baseball career like him winning Rookie of the Year, an MVP, being a 6-time All-Star and a World Series champion -- not to mention being a star athlete in four sports while in college -- in addition to his immeasurable impact on the game of baseball and society (of which I think we can all agree puts him in a class of his own).
In honor of Jackie, here's one more example from his Bond Bread set. . . Take care and looking forward to seeing more Jackie items showcased in this thread!
