Very nice coins of a really great American series.... Out of all the half dollar designs, to me, this is the best. Cheers, RickO
Rather defeats the purpose of being a 'collector'.
I had a short set of rattlers, it was in the Black cardboard box. Purchased from Coin depot, also had a Merc set in the Black box.
Could be a sell off of great coins due to the high market pricing.

Kennedys are my quest...
Nice group of high grade coins. However, not high enough grade to draw big bids from registry collectors. The 1917D shown would draw strong bids if it had CAC sticker.
Great looking coins and may whoever that buys them, enjoy it to the max.
Way too pricey for me and this is why I prefer collecting them in the raw to house them in a dansco (pictures at https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/13132013#Comment_13132013 ) because it surely helps to scratch the itch without breaking the bank. Maybe I will take it to one of those ANACS show and get it graded for cheap, spin off those that don't straight grade and then slowly upgrade eventually. But till then it stays in the Dansco.
Edited to add link to the post with pictures.

And by that, i mean if you buy your collection (or whole series), you are missing most of the "find a good coin, obtain it" aspect of collecting.
Why did you say that? The collection is not being sold as a collection. Each coin is being sold without reserve.
See my post just above yours.
Walkers are expensive and MS64s deserve respect. The Everyman Registry may change the attitude that a MS64 isn't good enough. As you say a nice appearing group of coins and Walkers are difficult to grade. Only 5 of the 16 early dates received CACs and 14 of the later 40 dates.
I am surprised that the percentage of CAC stickers is low for this group as most of the coins are fairly attractive and eye appealing
