Hi guys,
Do you remember when I posted these two cheap price buys from my LCS?

1942d BU

1945d BU

I brought the '42d to show my dealer friend. Well, he pointed out a beautiful variety RPM that I missed! From maybe a $100 coin to a possible $450 coin? With that RPM.
Here it is. Comparing my coin to variety vista pics.

I agree with @291fifth Joey. Sell, sell, sell and use the profits to get other coins that you want. Anytime you can make a huge profit margin like that you should go for it.

More like score 638 for Joey. He's always finding those W quarters and other nice stuff.

    Neat find!

Remember to base your values on sold coins rather than price guides. ;)

I have not checked this one, myself.

    Lol.
Here's somemore good news my dealer friend told me today.
He said, "Did you know you are getting the dealer discount everytime you send a coin/s out?"
This probably explains why I was only getting charged $22 per coin graded? Lol.
I think the normal cost is $25?

Why was the 42-D “maybe a $100 coin”, originally? You think it will grade better than MS66FB?

No, I doubt better than a ms 66, hoping at least a ms 65 now, after the RPM discovery?

That’s what I didn’t understand. Without the RPM, it’s not a $100 coin unless it grades higher than 66, and not even close as a 65.

Do you understand why its now a $400 coin just because of the RPM, that has me stumped, but what do I know.

I don’t think it is a $400 coin, but I’ll hope for the OP that I’m wrong.

Ignore the price guide and don’t worry about hope. What do you actually think the coin grades?

I don’t know much about Mercury Dime varieties but I see a 64 RPM sold recently on GC for $180 so it certainly seems worth sending to PCGS. Congratulations on your good fortune! You can even cherry-pick without trying!

Honestly, I would guess, ms 64.

Yeah, I'd like to see a sale even close to that number.
