latest CAC results

Over the past year I posted unbeaned quarters in various threads. I sent them into CAC 2 weeks ago and they are now on their way here. As usual it took 5 buisness days for CAC to evaluate the coins, and that was even with me requesting to get specific info on those that did not bean. Here is the outcome for the 8 quarters below.

This is a coin that I posted on that came from a PCGS submission by someone with alot of low grade coins, more than half got details. I tracked the numbers and found I already had 3 of them, all with grades and CAC. This one looked just as nice, but no bean. Probably too cleaned and on the edge of a details holder by PCGS. We will see what JA says.
This one was a reconsideration, it did not bean prior. For the life of me I could not see any clue to why it did not bean the first time (and did not ask). In recon, it beaned, and worthy, says I. That is an old pic, need to reshoot and capture the richness of the tone better.
Here are 5 barber quarters. I was surprised bc I thought the 1909S may not bean bc of the scratches next to star 8 but apparently they were deemed ok and not intentional (like there because of spot removal). I was not sure about the look of the 1912. But I was wrong with both. The other 3, I was confident as they have the right look and no issues:
Finally here is a 1903-O in P62, OGH. First OGH I have had that did not bean. Luster seems to be impeded by surface stuff and perhaps that is what kept it from beaning. I will see what JA says when they show up next week.
All in all a good submission and I am mostly starting to understand what CAC feels is quality for the grade in circulated barber quarters. Can't complain as good ones are not that easy to find, most have some type of human assistance.

I'd say you did really well on that submission. Great looking group of coins!
Looks like you did a great job of picking what you sent. Congrats!

Awesome. Thank you for the detailed write up and photos. They were very informative. Congrats on the many new beans.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
Congratulations on a great submission. Will be really interesting to understand the two that did not bean....Please be sure to let us know..... Cheers, RickO
Very informative thread, as usual. Such a nice and original looking group of coins SH. Please do update as more info is learned.

love the 1835 quarter
I haven't seen that many un-messed with mid-grade Barber quarters in a while. True condition rarities.
Congrats and you have a great eye.
How exactly did you go about trying to get JA to comment on each coin?
Congrats! Im glad you were successful with the reconsideration of the bust quarter.
I submit a cover letter with my submission forms requesting that specific coins be commented on if not beaned. Then for the 2 or 3 I request that on, if not CAC, he then puts a sticker on the slab with why (like 'old cleaning' or an arrow to the location he found a problem), or has a sticky note enclosed that says 'call me'. JA is a dude, even on cheap coins like mine he apparently feels like helping folks learn more about grading.

I have had a few recons be successful, most are not. I try to send in at least one I feel strongly about with each submission. I only do a couple submissions a year these days tho so not many.

Congratulations on being in desperately in need of purchased validation and being an absolute puppet to the puppeteers. "Congratulations! I'm glad you were successful with the reconsideration of the bust quarter" Seriously? WTF? What are "you" successful at? Just paying to beg for validation from people with no skin in the game. It's about nothing but greed on both sides. Absolutely pathetic.
Whoah. Dude. Dude. Did you forget your valium pill today?
Herez another CAC coin for you in case. I worship the CAC. I feel validated.
I can vouch for this as I've talked to JA 3 maybe 4 times if I ask to know why a coin failed. I've received the "call me" note a couple of times. I don't send in too often so if it has been 4 times that's about once every 3 years on average...so I don't bug him too much.
jom
sheesh. bisected, rotated dies, wonderfully toned and caced.

plus i really like your op coins, especially the 35 b5. wonderfully retoned circ bust quarter. if you could pull a full set with cac and toning like that, you would NAME your price!
