An Uncommonly Pretty Bust Half

Ive been at least LOOKING at bust halves for quite some time now and have not come across very many eye appealing 1809 O-108a pieces.
It is a very cool variety with the die crack through star 4 and raised segments between the right wing and AMERICA.
I can count on one hand the number of great looking 108s that I’ve personally seen. Post one of you’ve got one please I’d love to see them.
Here’s mine via Glenn Peterson > @habaraca. A very humble but pleasing VF. It is The III Edge. I’d love to get my hands on one with a XXX edge.

That's a great example, @Pnies20. I love the look.
I think it's a 108, not the 108a, unless the die crack is more prominent than it appears. The 108a shows irregular lumps in the crack to the right of S4. Maybe they're hard to see in the pix.
It's a fun die marriage because it has both III-edge and XXX-edges.
Here's my VF30 108a XXX-edge. Not as pretty as yours, I think.

The O.108 die marriage is tough to find with nice eye appeal like yours. You did well grabbing that one!

Not "just a 108". The two are equally scarce.
If you decide to have yours attributed sometime you might consider a regrade too. Looks more like a 35 to me.

An O-108a XXX fell into my lap randomly. It’s raw but pretty and I’ll probably send it in to our host when I have a few more coins to send along with it.
