While Searching LMC this morning I found this 2018D Debris Strike through. My first one! Enjoy Only wish it was in better Condition.

It is confusing to me.
The strike thru seems to be both above and below the in God we trust lettering.
Is it normal for this to happen?

What do you believe it is?
I am not sure, but from the photo that does not look incuse more like a die gouge of some sort. Maybe in hand it is incuse, I just have not seen a strike though that left all the lettering intact.
