Hi guys,
Yes, found two brand new Washington's. The newly designed, opposite profiled, Washington quarters, already hunted down with possible "Strike Throughs"?
The two found allows me to compare one another for any errors/varieties. Well, this one pictured sure appears to have two Strike Throughs on the obverse? Both strikes are sunkin in or have the concave look. What do you guys say? Thanks

Here is the Uneffected Quarter

The Effected "Strike Through" Quarter

Here are the Close ups.

Under the chin looks like reeding marks from being tossed around with other coins. If it is struck thru its so tiny there probably wouldn't be a premium. I have not found any of the new quarters yet.

If it just looks like circulation damage it is unlikely to generate much interest.

Under the chin are contact marks from another coin’s reeding

The other picture is so far zoomed in that I can’t make out what it is or even where it is

Remember, this is the "handling" process immediately after minting. Lots of opportunity for contact marks. And then there is the handling by the vendors who do the rolling.

While they do not look like reeding hits from another coin, they do look like damage.... I would not rule out a strike through possibility, but not likely... Is the second one the same as this one? Or different. Cheers, RickO

    Different.
The first coin pictured (uneffected one) has nothing in the areas that I focus on in the second pictured coin. The vocal point on his neck looks like a crater, more than just a reed hit. The other, near his ear, looks square - like.

I'll try to take some more detailed pics later.
    Thanks :)

I have not found any 2022 coins in general circulation yet, but I know that I will soon.
Yes, I would like to see some more pictures of the affected coin.
Can we see one of the reverse side?
    Thanks

I can't help but see that they messed with Laura Gardin Fraser's original modeled coin.

Give 'em a break. The Mint can't stop messing with designs.

Herman MacNeil's Standing Liberty Quarter is an example, when the Mint made changes to the design without MacNeil's approval.

    Hmmmm?
Is the rule still in effect about all coins have to bare an, "Eagle"?
Well, if that's the case, look how subtle the reverse shows the Eagle. It's behind the woman. ;)

I like Washington's profile on the obverse. Too bad the Mint wouldn't put Washington Crossing the Delaware (like on the 2021 quarter) on the reverse.

the mint says it depicts "a bird in flight"

I guess poetic interpretation can make it open.
