First ever PCGS submission results

I was lucky enough to have my girlfriend help me when some of the Morgan's/Peace came out. We secured 18 total, and sent them all in for first strike back in October. After waiting for so many months, we called them last week to see if all was still good, and were given a few reasons why the process in general takes a while, but then the customer service rep look and she said, "Oh wow, these have been here a long time. Let me upgrade them to Expedited for you at no cost." That was pretty cool she did that since we didn't call with a complaint, but more to just make sure the coins were not lost.

Today, I got the results, and think that I did pretty good. Four out of 18 scored a 69, and 14 scored MS70.

Wondering if you'll be able to see a noticeable difference between the 69's vs the 70's.
I've never done that exercise.

Wow good for you… The “D”mint mark will get you $450.00+ ea nice score and $300+ on the Peace $ payday. That’s If your selling them I would put together a set or two and off the rest so you get free coins or sell it all and buy something nice for the collection or take the girlfriend out to a nice dinner or save the $$$ for the next one and do it all over again..

Thanks. Originally I bought these to create a full set but then realized I missed the CC and O release dates (and it sounds like mostly bots got them). My dealer at Govmint called and ordered me the NGC signed Mercanti full set so I bought that while these were in grading. Thought about selling these then decided no way... one release in 100 years keep them right.. but then I think they will be coming out in 2022...which ruined it for me. Not sure how I feel. Was very good with one and done for 2021...

Multiple D MS70s have sold for $600 in the past couple days on EBay. Most of the large dealers don’t have them anymore.

Those are great results..... Seems the 70's are still hot on the market.... You might consider selling a few while interest is high.... That leaves you with free coins if you catch the peak prices. Cheers, RickO

I still have to send mine in, and that'll probably be the next batch going out soon.
I missed the CC and Os at initial price, and have paid ~3x to get in original mint pkg. Just picked up 1 more CC, and it looks to have some scuffing on the cheek on the obverse. So doubt thats 70, maybe not even 69? (Could just be on the capsule, dunno.)

I did the same thing a little while ago to inquire about status of the rest of my 4 orders; I was unaware of the extent of the slow down. They said they put an expedite on it ... but they're dong that for practically everybody.

So I never opened the mint boxes and had no idea if the coins looked good or not. Maybe that helped me?

Also have about 30 coins ...is it kosher to post images and get thoughts in this forum prior to sending them in for grading?

Welcome. OK, I am impressed, especially if it wasn't just dumb luck. Getting a high percentage of 70s is a tough task. I consider myself a pretty good grader and I would not even pretend to attempt that task.

I would start a new discussion / thread and say something like " thinking of sending these coins in, should I or shouldn't I and what do you think they will grade at".

Im not surprised by those grades. Except for the Denver mint the 70 grade appears to be for 5 out of 6 coins graded with the 6th being 69 usually. Not many grading lower than that.

For the Denver coin it appears that 2 out of 3 coins are getting a 70 grade with the other 1 coin grading 69, but with a few more lower grades mixed in.

So it seems like the majority of all 6 coins will grade 70.

With around 5 out of 6 grading 70 that would be about 140,000 coins each that would make the grade if they were all certified.
