Man, that's a poor fake. Lincoln knows. He's smiling.
No one bid, thank goodness.

Seller ended the auction...
There are a number of these fakes with different dates available.
Obviously struck from counterfeit dies, but the Off Center strike doesn't look right as well.
Seller said thanks and ended the auction.

Thanks everybody!
you know when i used to report a lot of these, i couldn't shake the thought that when someone listing/selling this stuff said thanks, it really meant: (*&#$ you, thanks for nothing. i'm not ruining the world, just trying to feed my kids for a couple weeks or what is your problem. i live in an area of the world people would assume i just go off and die somewhere because i'm poor and only i'm trying to stir up enough money to keep my shabby hut. besides, aren't you all rich in the usa anyway?
and truth be told, i did get a couple messages not TOO far off from those lines of thought.
but alas, we certainly cannot allow this to be acceptable. crime has a way of starting out small and the next thing ya know....
kinda one of the reasons i really don't even support the purchasing of counterfeits for study anymore. just makes those channels stronger and probably bolder. for sure i support ebays zero tolerance (in the rules anyway) for this stuff and anything like it. just undermines it completely.
so thanks to those still taking the time.

We have no way of knowing whether a message from a stranger is sincere. However, based on my experience, when a seller ends the listing and sends a thank you, I don't question it.

I've made more of an effort recently to contact sellers directly, especially when only 1 or 2 items out of their inventory are counterfeits and the rest are genuine. In cases like these, it is likely the counterfeits are being offered unintentionally. I've been pleasantly surprised how cooperative and appreciative the sellers have been.

surprising indeed. with the shoe on the other foot i'm surprised they have the wherewithal to take someone at their word and do some investigation and then take appropriate action.
i've made some attribution mistakes over the years and when someone contacted me, i didn't just remove an item because they are sometimes mistaken but i'd look over the item"s" then respond appropriately and thank the person and if uncertain one way or the other, then just remove the item until i can make a definitive determination.
not sure ebay knows how fortunate they are to have such specialists take their time (gratis) to try and keep one little corner of it cleaned up.

When contacting sellers about counterfeits, I've found it goes a long way to point out the correct weight of the genuine coin, as this is something most people can check quickly and easily. Once they realize the weight of their coin is off, they're no longer just taking my word for it.
Another one GONE! Perfect!

The color and texture reminds me of a few SVDB that have been yanked
From the same "family"...
@burfle23... Wow, that is one I have not seen before.... I do not spend time searching ebay anymore, so do not see a lot of these (actually, one of the reasons I stopped searching ebay).... Clearly fake....Cheers, RickO

Kennedys are my quest...
It wasn't pulled, ended by seller. He responded to me he was going back to the individual who sold it to him; stated he had $250 in it- ouch...
On some off these counterfeits, I cannot tell good from bad. And I've been in the game awhile.
Sticking with certified pre 33 gold. 1800-1932 from sellers with integrity.
The hollowed out cheek, an obvious giveaway.
