    Nice Group Effort ;)
Thanks to everyone seen & UNSEEN :)
We've tackled well over 100 of just SVDB's
I'm certain within those there is SOME we'll see again, but I'm also sure that of them, many were listed by responsible sellers, and even some dealers that will either destroy the coin, or put it away and keep it out of circulation.
So, the ratio of phony to genuine has moved more towards genuine being the greater number!
Something I noticed in my last two threads, both listings were taking down in under 5 total comments!. makes me wonder?
    Are we losing interest?? OR
Are with getting down to less talk and more action ;)

The faster their taken down, the better it is.

    We're making progress.

That's assuming more aren't being produced.
Well, its entirely possible that in one of those cargo ships setting out at in the ocean waiting to get unloaded, that anyone of them could contain 50 million FRESH die struct HIGH grade SVDB counterfeits, & possibly of such high quality that it could take the professional grading services DECADES to detect the first one.
    //////////////////////
So, based on what we KNOW! based on just my threads & finds, in just this forum, in just the past year, this group effort has gotten over 100 listings pulled!
In that time its UNTOLD how many more people have been made aware (better educated) to the fraud around this coin, so in that we can assume, an increased awareness of these counterfeits has spread to now a much larger group EXPOSING even more of the fraud coins.
Have you done say a Duck Duck Go internet search for about anything 1909SVDB? Look how many search entries you'll see from LOTS of members right here from this forum :)
That's the reason why, we want pictures & details of what's altered or counterfeited, the information is being archived!
Public counterfeit detection has come a long way, there is still old video's on the net from a time when it was a NEWS FLASH about measurement & weight, that was it :D Well, in the current day approach if that was the go to method most counterfeit Lincoln's would be stuffed into collections.
Here is one case in point!
About 10 months ago I ran across a lady selling a counterfeit SVDB on ebay, I spotted it right off because it was an exact sibling to the one I got burned on nearly two years ago. So, I first contacted her about the coin, she thanked me, and pulled the listing. Well a couple of days later she relisted the coin, showing it laying on a digital scale :D I contacted her back and told her that I knew the coin would weight correctly, but she said the coin had been in her father's collection for many MANY years and the coin checked out to be genuine!
So,the listing was put up on the forum and the powers that be, did what they do and ebay removed the listing!
    Thanks for your comment :)

The “been in my ________’s collection”

    And

“I got it from my __________”

:D Yep! she wasn't my first go around with that story either, that was just ONE case :|
    But I was NICE!
    I gave her a chance!
I sent her picture proof of the coin being counterfeit!
She for sure wasn't a seller who dealt in coins.
So, farther action was needed, then POOF, it was gone!

Anyway, where they say they got it is irrelevant

Even if passed down, the person before received a counterfeit

It is for these reasons the complete wheat cent collection I put together in a Dansco has cracked out NGC 09SVDB and NGC 14-D. Yes I retained pictures of the coins in the holders as well as the inserts :)

Somewhat, but its not hidden, its a sort of flash to an introduction to a certain SVBD that was made by another forum member back around the holidays. The best we could figure about that description of their coin was "Whispering VDB" was just a name the member used for reference to a faint or weak strike in the area of the designers initials on the coin.
Its has nothing to do with the coin or collection in the OP of this thread!
    Thanks for dropping by :)

I did the same thing for my 09SVDB, but I didn't crack the slab, I cut the front window out, (C-Sectioned you could say)
The one I have I purchased off ebay, but it was a well established PCGS/NGC certified dealer, and before the purchase I sent them a message and ask them to PLEASE DOUBLE check the coin & the holder to make sure both were in fact genuine B)

Some other I cut out of the slabs!

But, I have to make this warning, even slabs are counterfeited, like this one below!
And there is better versions of these counterfeited slabs around too :#

Interesting approach - Thanks! And yes, it helps considerably if the slab is not fake :)

@MarkW63... You have done amazing work on these fake cents over the past few months. Congratulations on your efforts... No doubt saved many collectors financial grief. Cheers, RickO
