1812 CBH...GTG...Grade revealed.

The pro pics are exactly how it looks.
With some good light and some angles the colors show up.
Bonus points for Overton if you're ambitious.

Grade ... ummmm ... VF20?
For the bonus ... pretty sure that's a 105a

Yep 105a. I’ll say VF30.
Absolutely beautiful coin!
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
I'm in the 35-40 camp. Quite a bit of luster still remaining. Nice looking coin. The more I see Bust halves posted on these forums, the more I'm starting to think they might be my next endeavor. So in other words, I blame all of you if I end up having to attend BHA meetings. (Bust Halves Anonymous)
With the Die so Buckled I'm going with 40!
35
Super cool!
On my list of coins to find, first use of the obverse before one of my favorites, the 106.
Interesting feature between the drapery and star 1.. looks like a heavy set of cracks at first, but I think it's one crack and a couple clash marks..
I'm gonna drop a 40 just because I like it alot (and the reverse..)!
Great looking coin. VF30?
Thanks for playing along and for the flattering comments.
Grade shown in the first post.
VF25, O-105
It's one of those coins that has a lot to offer and it's one of my favorites.

Very nice looking VF25!

WOW! Obviously the right person didn't submit that coin. Absolutely no consideration for the deteriorated die effects to the details.
We see similar "conservative" grading with the 1814 E/A.
And the 1809 O-105 (weak chin variety) as well as others.

Looks 30 to me. Very NICE Bustie.

I would have guessed a 30... but more interesting is the date... The War of 1812... Good historical piece. Cheers, RickO
