Another recent arrival – a crustified overdate Capped Bust Half

This is another coin I felt very fortunate to win from the recent Founding Fathers sale at HA. Maybe more so after I saw what one of our board members here took home from the sale!
Anyway, as I am a big fan of original skin and crust, this coin spoke to me … a lot. In fact, of all the coins in the sale, it was in my top 5 list for coins I wanted to bid on, and hopefully win.
While not technically a rare Die Marriage (R1), the 1819/8 Small 9 seems much more difficult to obtain than its Large 9 counterpart. A little digging and this made more sense to me, as only the Obverse die for the O-101 DM used the Small 9, where the other five Overdates are all Large 9 varieties. So, while maybe more common as a Die Marriage, it is a more difficult Variety, at least IMO.
Knowing that going in, and thoroughly believing the coin was everything I thought it was … I formulated what I thought was a strong maximum. Thankfully, it stayed under that by a few increments, and I didn’t have to decide whether or not to chase.
Of the coins I was able to obtain from the sale, this is the most significant prize to me (by a hair). Coupled with the 1817 I shared last week, just these two alone would have been a wonderful result for the auction. I did win a few others, which was also fortunate for my growing collection, and will also share them as I get time.
This is a late state for the marriage, characterized by the fine die crack that encompasses the perimeter of the reverse almost entirely, although is difficult to pick up completely due to the thick skin and deep peripheral toning on this example (and my limited skills as a photographer).
Feel free to guess the grade, offer comments, or share your 1819/8’s.

Me too 55 😄
That's another sweet coin you have there!
I haven't made a full study of that auction yet, just the earlier dates, so I'm playing fair here... but it does look like you snagged some diamonds in the rough.
Can't wait to see what else you got!
👏
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
Wow, Todd!
That’s some amazing skin on that 19-101. Doesn’t get much nicer than that. Congrats on getting that one!
It definitely caught my eye when I first looked over the lots in that auction. If I didn’t already have that DM, you would have had some competition on it.
Happy she found her way into your set.

11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I would call that an AU58... Certainly a crusty busty..... Cheers, RickO
au 55 and yes its crusty
Sweet looking bust, nice skin. 58?
I'm starting to feel the higher grade guesses. I often misinterpret the "rub" in photos, I seem to be seeing significant areas of broken luster...
So I'm m staying 55, but the dern thing could be 63 😅
Sweet looking coin. I'm at 58 on it but wouldn't be surprised if it's a 62.
Nice.
Hoard the keys.
Congrats, love that look.
I'll guess AU55 green bean.

Thanks for all the comments!
I really like the look too. Wish I could get the colors on my images right.
The in hand color is probably somewhere in between Heritage and my own images.
Coin is a PCGS AU55, with a Green Bean. With the benefit of in hand observation, I tend to agree ... the only two grades I could see this coin at are 55 and 58.
