Chris, beautiful card. How did this not get a numeric grade on the card?
It's an option when submitting. You can request either graded numerically or just authentic, or both, or neither.
Lol. I'm aware. Most times Authentic is requested for lower grade cards or cards with issues like trimming or alterations. If you don't mind, I'll wait for the card owner to respond this time, thanks.
@BJY83 - I bought the Aaron through Collect Auctions in 2014. I eventually had it re-holdered and at the time decided to leave as Authentic. I maybe should try for a card grade sometime.... The thing I like most is the position of the Auto to the side as if Hank is looking at it. Also it looks great in ballpoint pen which is much more difficult than sharpie markers etc. Hope this helps. One of my favorite cards.
Awesome auto's everyone!! I know Pete will sign anything, but this is his '64 Venezuela. I love the bright blue sharpie against the rough Vene card stock.

Awesome card! I collect the 64 Venz set, but when I recently met Rose I didn’t have the balls to have him sign that card. Kudos! Are you in the Venezuela Topps group on Facebook? If not, you might want to join.
Not my most valuable but probably my most meaningful. I got this card as a kid. When my son was 10 I took him to the National with me and had Rickey sign it. He was really cool during the experience and took a picture with my son. It's now my son's card, and I hope he never sells it.

Oh...i'm sorry, i thought the OP said "SHOULD" be in the HOF. lol. I will delete if people get upset...just having a little fun and admiring some awesome auto's. Cheers!!

Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?
I was eager to try my new Brother printer/scanner, so here's my first scan. I got these cards from Simmons after writing a profile of him, and he was gracious enough to sign them when I mailed him a copy (back in the pre-internet days). So they're not authenticated, but most certainly authentic.

Some quick scanner tips to try:
a) turn the lights off in the room and leave the lid up when you scan; you’ll almost certainly like the result.
b) scan cards one at a time when possible.

Thanks for the tips, 1951WheatiesPremium. I normally would scan separately, but this was just a quick one, and not a scan I would use, say, for eBay. The cards are where I left them, so I'll try that later.
I should have added that when I wrote the profile of Simmons during spring training of 1989 I contacted his recent Braves teammate Ken Griffey (as we then knew him) for comments, and during our conversation he mentioned that his son was on a mission to make the majors that year. Mission accomplished.
If you have looked at my nearly 15 year old Cardinals auto thread you might remember that I store my signed Topps Cardinals in albums.....3 full albums to be exact. Anyway, anytime I get one slabbed I bust it out, insert the card in a penny sleeve, and tape the label/flip to the back, and then insert the card in the album page. This one here is as close as I have come to NOT busting out because..... it is a PSA/DNA MINT 9 signature. However, I still do not regret it. These cards are not for sale and I love them in my album.
I love a vintage ball point pen signature on a vintage card.
I am going to violate the one card rule, but in my mind these go together. My mom was friends with someone who was friends with Phil Neikro’s wife, or something like that. All I recall is that I gave her some cards and a few weeks later they showed up signed. I like these a lot.

It’s about time for this great baseball historian.
I agree. I loved listening to him tell baseball stories.... Especially the sound off the bat of Babe Ruth and comparing it to the sound of Bo Jackson.
