1883 O Morgan for the Morgan date set album
Here's my 1883 O for the Morgan date set album. As previously mentioned, I don't have a specific look or grade that I'm going for in the album, given the inherited coins in the album it will have a diverse look anyhow. So, the coins that I picked up were on a, "what caught my eye" basis. The 1883 O was one of those coins where I was browsing through the dealer's red boxes, and at first glance it seemed too dark. Then I rotated it under the light and all sorts of nice colors popped. The images are by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.

Nice one!

Very nice and great photo. Even tilting a coin I can never capture the color like this photo. Great find.
Good looking & super colorful!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Although not a coin I would choose, I can certainly see the attraction for the color collectors. Amazing photo quality. Cheers, RickO
It's just axial photography.

Just read what axial photography meant, very ingenious photo setup, perfect for coins. Thanks for the mentioning.
The reverse is especially nice and it’s a great choice for an eye catching coin in your album.
No, it is absolutely not axial photography. It’s lights, lens and coin and nothing in between.

Sure looks like my axial shots.

I experimented with axial setups years ago with very lousy results. I never got the hang of it. I’m impressed by those who are successful with it. 👍

You just gotta work more at it... Took me about two years to really nail it down. Top is axial, bottom is straight on, both shot through GSA holder.
