1800 with first hair style?
Like your way of thinking - but not an 1800.
The reverse on this one is rather... special compared to most Draped Bust cents.

The last coin purchase in 2021 for me was a 1996 W MS67FB Roosevelt dime and a 1996 W MS68FB Roosevelt dime. The pair are in the mail as we speak.

It’s worth more than you paid for it?
I'm guessing it's a rare Sheldon variety or would that guess be too obvious.

Bummer - switched from iPhone to the monitor to get a better look, as I love Large Cent trivia - and now it's gone!
Why did you delete your pics and your opening post? Seems a little rude to me.

Mostly for security purposes. I got some advice from an experienced member here that posting cherrypicks before you get them in hand probably isn’t the best idea. It’s not that I don’t trust you... but information can and has reached back to sellers from this site before. I’ll definitely re-create the thread in a couple days. Very sorry to everyone here - the thread will come back.

I didn't realize you didn't have it yet. You got some good advice. Someone here cherry-picked a rare coin off eBay and was bragging about here before he got it. Someone here (maybe the seller) tipped off the seller who cancelled the sale.

Well we can be sure it's the first hair style at least. Please sure to come back with the rest of the story. I'm guessing I'm not the only one that is curiouser and curiouser as time goes by.
It's okay Omegaraptor. Information can sometimes be used by others in ways that is are sometimes not in one's best interests. Sometimes others use information innocently, other times not so innocently. I applaud your decision to delete whatever you see fit to protect your interests. People who are upset by this should try putting on another's shoes on to see how those shoes feel to them.

This has always been an interesting subject. "Cherry Picking" from an uninformed seller compared to letting them know exactly what they have so they don't lose money.

Sensible.
Please do update first post when you get it in hand
