John is one of my favorite dealers and always my first stop at the Long Beach show. I remember that 1861 $… I’m glad a good buddy was able to snag it for his set.
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
JA has the eye for great coins, always enjoy what he writes although this time, I have to disagree with him for 'Coolest Coin Handled'. I'd say it was one of these two below.
me posting these images is in NO way intended to discourage reading of that report. that was a good and fun read.
just sharing larger images from that report as the coins are worthy of it.

I contributed to the CRO success of 2021, including my purchase of three dogs in OGHs, but I was equally as excited to add these gorgeous medals for my "European cathedrals that I have visited" collection:
Winchester Cathedral
Milan Cathedral (visited a second time last month, early November)

Always one of my favorite pieces based on my own personal experience there which I wrote about on the site when describing one of them:
<<This one also holds a special place in your author's heart, as I visited back in the 1990s with my then boss who insisted we tour the catacombs beneath the cathedral for so long that we ran out of time to actually attend the business meeting which had been the entire purpose of our trip to Milan to begin with. Aaaah yes, I sure do miss the corporate world.>>

Don’t look now, but the PCGS price guide values the piece at $140,000! I think you left some money on the table with that transaction. 😉
