I realize I may be in the minority with this observation, but this appears to me to be a “rooting for shutdown” thread.

Yes, I know the response is that “we’re just sharing information!”

I don't see it that way as I don't think a shut down will happen, like zero percent.

Do you think a shutdown is a possibility, at the proverbial 11th hour?

I’ll let you know when I attend the show tomorrow ;)

Please post a show report with coin photos that you like ;)

Even if 40% of the dealers drop out, this show will still be larger than virtually every regional coin show and the attendees shouldn't have any trouble finding a neat coin or two to buy. The weather forecast is sunny and in the mid to upper 70's which will be great for those escaping the harsh weather up north. I'm looking forward to seeing some show reports and some pics of the show.

I agree it will be great to see some show reports.

Since you are not going, enquiring minds want to know if you normally attend FUN yourself?

I'm making the 1 hour drive on Thursday morning to attend. Let's hope there's a good turnout of both buyers and dealers!

    I love them Barber Halves.....

I hope not seeing as my stuff made it to the security room yesterday. There are people here with the same feelings I have including FUN staff...attending but sort of hoping it had been cancelled. :o

Early on, especially in the other thread, I also felt there was an undercurrent rooting for cancellations and some holier than thou shaming but that seems to have toned down imo.

I am quite pleased that we all managed to keep these threads open. I am perhaps guilty of poor timing with my humor but overall these posts were close to the line but it seems we mostly can behave and self correct.
I truly believe we are all trying to deal with a very different situation.
    Zoins. Thank you 🙏.

Interesting how all these people are getting sick from Covid. After we have had widespread vaccinations. Hmmm..... Connect the dots folks. Having said that pretty much nobody dies from this Omicron variant. They have done a very good job of making people scared of their own shadows and then convincing them to take a "vaccine" that makes things worse. Death rates are up in 2021 over 2020 after we started vaxxing people. Hmmm.... Oh and did anyone ever hear of the flu? Or a cold? Wake up!!!

A good friends mother just died from it on Sunday. I refrain from typing more. Be safe everyone, wish I was going. But I cancelled my flight yesterday, at least SW gave me a travel credit thru the end of the year.

    Great!

Perhaps we'll all learn to live with Covid and the variants and life can return to some kind of normal.

I suspect, It's almost time for me to come out of my basement and see if the world is still out there?

I am happy to report that, per the Road Report, Coin Rarities Online has made it to Orlando and will be attending the show.

Since he went to the show, I guess Laura doesn't consider John to be one of the "right dealers". ;)

Maybe he is a "left dealer"? Who knows? I do know that he makes inspiring cocktails, and that is all that really matters in the end. ;)
