Thanks for the update. I added it to the list in the OP.

I also added Legend Numismatics to the list in the OP as Laura said they have cancelled.

    Laura said:
Legend Numismatics is NOT going. Legend Auctions is.
    ...
We cancelled due to health reasons. PCGS is not bringing their graders. And heritage rescheduled their auction.

    Ref: https://caccoin.com/forums/discussion/comment/1827/#Comment_1827

So there is a bit of a "domino effect" with PCGS and Heritage pulling back which I mentioned earlier.

The whole thing sounds like a toxic superspreader. Certainly floor traffic overall will be waaaaY down.

It does, but some people are more than okay with superspreader events, while others are less so.

I just cancelled my plans. Had a lot of signs but the final straw was one of the docs that work for me has a very sick father with Covid and has to leave to help his mom. Looks like I get to run his schedule this week now.
hopefully be back at FUN next year

NGC has been doing this "registry cocktail hour" for a few years now. It's by invitation. I'm not sure how NGC decides who to invite.

I always ask about guests and am allowed to bring one or two. NGC hands out a slabbed coin to each attendee as well as raffle tickets for drawings. There's small talk, drinks and hors d'oeuvres . A few speakers address the group on different topics, not usually registry-related.

    Anyway, it's nixed now.

FWIW, in the cancellation email NGC promised to mail all invitees the slabbed coins they would have handed out. Nice gesture.

NGC and PMG Modify Their Plans for FUN Show

NGC and PMG have replaced their planned on-site grading at the FUN Show in Orlando this week with an expedited grading special, which will provide fast turnaround times by transporting collectibles between the show and the companies’ headquarters in Sarasota, Florida. Submissions made for this expedited grading special before 3 p.m. on Thursday will be returned to the show by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Regular submissions can also be made at the NGC and PMG booths through 11 a.m. Sunday.

NGC and PMG regret that the consultations with NGC Chairman Mark Salzberg and PMG Grading Finalizer Chad Hawk, as well as the event with Silver Eagle engraver Michael Gaudioso have been cancelled.

Interesting how all these people are getting sick from Covid. After we have had widespread vaccinations. Hmmm..... Connect the dots folks. Having said that pretty much nobody dies from this Omicron variant. They have done a very good job of making people scared of their own shadows and then convincing them to take a "vaccine" that makes things worse. Death rates are up in 2021 over 2020 after we started vaxxing people. Hmmm.... Oh and did anyone ever hear of the flu? Or a cold? Wake up

I (Select Rarities) am out. But my table, 313, will be occupied. So the bourse will not be emptier as a result. Canceled my flights a little while ago. Missing this show for two years now.

I hope they make a special note on the insert like this one which says "2021 Cancelled FUN Show". Hopefully PCGS can do the same.

Somehow, I think putting in a Covid medal in these makes a lot of sense!

Everyone knows you are widely respected for your indepth research and threads.

Maybe you should consider expanding into polls?

I do a few polls already, but we'll know soon enough for this so I'll refrain this time around.

It would be nice if they did a virtual cocktail hour and insert said something like:

    2022 FUN Virtual Cocktail Hour

But the following would work too:

    2022 Cancelled FUN Cocktail Hour
