It is not a doubled die cent, unfortunately. Looks like a later die state with some circulation or other damage. This link will help you learn more about what happens to cause a doubled die. https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/doubled-die-coins-768451

Welcome to the forum!
I'm not seeing a doubled die.
"The E makes me believe it’s a DD"
Could you be a bit more specific when asking a question?
I see 6 E's on the reverse and I'm not sure what one you are talking about.
I’m not sure which E
It’d be nice to also have a close up of it
Only hold coins by the edges. The oils and salts in your skin will tarnish or corrode the coin, especially for zinc cents.
If you want good feedback it would behoove you to provide photos that are in focus, however from what I can see you have a coin that is suffering from die fatigue. It is also damaged with the zinc core showing through.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
To be fair, I don't think he can do any harm to that particular cent.

Kennedys are my quest...
@Coolmobd... Welcome aboard... Your cent is not a doubled die... even with the slightly blurry pictures we can see that. Cheers, RickO
This is how it should look.
Hoard the keys.
Wow, Lincoln really pops on the reverse of that penny!
This is an awesome DDR. I’ve been hunting for one and this photo really helps me. Thank you for posting this PIC!
I appreciate it y’all. Looking to learn a lot from the veterans aboard. Thanks for the welcome.
But that's the 1983 DDR. The OP was asking about the 1982.
Just showing him a DDR this is the 82 DDR.
Hoard the keys.
@Type2 That DDR is so hard to see, I need to go back through all my 82 sd's today. I'm in spring cleaning mode anyway with my coin room.
