1948-D Bank Wrapped Cent Roll with 25 Cents (half of a roll)

I was looking through some of my old stuff, and found this 1948-D bank wrapped roll that only has 25 cents.
Did they actually issue cent rolls with only 25 coins back then?
I don't ever remember seeing rolls like this, besides this one.
I would be interested in anybody who would have any knowledge about these "short" rolls.

I guess if they made the wrapper they had some use for it. I have never seen one, Thanks for sharing.

Here is a link to a thread on 25 cent rolls from 2010. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/756130/25-cent-original-bank-rolls
@ricko may remember being paid with half rolls of cents.

"I have seen half rolls of cents before. I was even 'paid' with a couple when I was a kid with a paper route. That being said, I have no idea if these are original. Cheers, RickO"

There were 1/2 rolls in dimes, nickels and cents, and perhaps quarters. (not sure about 50c). I actually have some old unused flat wrappers for the half rolls.
Awesome old school roll!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line. Not sure exactly when this was done, but I remember it from long ago. It seems it was done around the time of the silver switch to clad. If I'm right, and maybe maybe not, it was to get people to bring in their change without waiting to fill a full roll. Just an opinion.

I recall lots of short rolls used as promos and giveaways in Vegas in the 70's. Vegas slots had analog pull counter windows that allowed for keeping track of payouts. Not any more. Peace Roy

I have seen 25-cent rolls before (but not very many and none in the last several years).
I have also bought double-length rolls of half dollars at a bank (40 coins - $20 face value).
That was in the 1980s at a bank in Beverly Hills. One roll contained coins dated from 1980 all the way back to 1917
