Closed threads

Is it just me, or when you see a closed icon on a thread you are instantly drawn to open it regardless of the subject, just to see where it went off the rails (and maybe some gallows humor).

The first rule about fight club......
I shake Christmas packages and I too am drawn to closed threads. Thing is I’ve usually commented so have a fairly good idea as to why it closed 😉

While this thread may be closed,
One aspect of reading the closed threads is what not to do
Like replying to threads doomed to be closed
There is one closed thread that members here should use caution if communicating with the OP.
A report has been sent to the mods.
I will not post any more info for now but you can PM me for more info.
"A dog breaks your heart only one time and that is when they pass on". Unknown
The pattern for closure is usually loud social media doctorates weighing in their "thoughts" on something they have no expertise on.

There was trend long time ago, to post a snarky message in a thread that was sure to get locked.

Closed threads are like a train wreck---you don't want to look but you can't help yourself.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Like a fat girl on a moped. You wished you hadn’t, but you had to look.
Yep, always curious to see what the train wreck might have been. Sometimes it’s just innocuous.
That is the way I feel sometimes! 😯
What about thunder thighs strutting around in Disney World wearing tight leggings! ARRGGGGUH...that was almost 20 years ago and I still can't get that picture out of my mind!
That is what happens when one is a perv and hoping to score a different type of ride instead of strapping up and going on the regular rides.

True! Also fun is looking at most any old thread and count how many have been banned since it originated. Anyway that last one was just straight up disrespectful. There is a reason you don’t ask what happened and in this case he was just spewing speculation at the same time. Meanwhile others were injecting their views. Aside from this place I dropped all social media sites over a year ago and mostly for this reason the other is because I choose not to support them. The whole thing was a complete frigging train wreck.
But anyway
Sometimes I'll review closed threads to see if anyone got banned,

I usually open them to see what happened.... Knowledge is good, and nice to gain without the pain. Cheers, RickO
it's just another aspect of the "rubber-neck" syndrome that makes them hard to pass. what I enjoy doing is looking up some of the older threads in the archives and noticing how many of the past membership has been banned!! I've opened threads while searching topics and found 5-10 banned members in one thread.
Sometimes "closed" threads will have an answer as to why it was closed.
I do review closed threads for a what not to say or do education.

The one closed thread that some posters have never opened is the "PCGS Forum Rules and Guidelines"!

I am almost afraid look at them. Usually it’s a bunch of them in argument about CAC or some vague issues and then the quote trolls weigh in. One of them (the frequency) I wonder if he is doing it from work / personal business on company time.
Hello to everyone reading this thread because it is closed.
Happy Holidays!
