Here are two of mine from the Schertz, TX show today:

1941-S Jefferson Nickel, large 'S' mintmark. This is the first mint state example I've ever seen, and a nice one at that!

1893 Columbian Expo Half Dollar- Repunched Date. Nice repunching on the 3 of the date. Nice and crusty!

These are all seller's photos. This later die-state overdate 55/54 has been dipped but is beginning to retone.

This nasty plugged coin is an early die-state 55/54. Almost all signs of the overdate are clearly visible in this seller's photo (I haven't received the coin yet). A strong-overdate hole filler, ideal for someone on a tight budget if they can stomach the plug. Also ideal for discussing and researching the potential fruitfulness of cherry-picking nasty-looking coins.

    I also picked up an 1840-O WB-1 (R5).

A quick look at CoinFacts shows an auction record of $350 for one in PCGS 66.

Variety Vista appears to list 5 reverse dies with the large S:

    1. MMS-002 (Large S)
    2. RPM-001 FS-501
    3. RPM-002 FS-502
    4. RPM-003
    5. DDR-001

Mine is #1 above- no additional varieties. It's definitely getting slabbed.

Actually, they list 16 dies for the 1941 large S nickel (the large S is listed as MMS-002):

Welcome pLATOONOF1. Your coin appears to me to be a case of Mechanical doubling, not doubled die. Once you are able to post pics here I am sure you will get more info.

I once owned one of the DDRs, it shows as a medium spread on UNUM and AMERICA. The seller had serious remorse and bought it back from me just a few weeks after I won it from him on eBay. I haven't seen another one since.

The only coin I bought this weekend so it will have to work. ;)
Not much of a Cherrypick but not a bad deal.
I got it at my LCS for $5 and it should sell on ebay for around $20 :)
