Ike Ear Challenge

Forum wisdom says that human fingers cannot produce appreciable wear on an Ike Dollar.
I'll see if I can produce any noticeable change in Ike's ear, using only my thumb.
Until I succumb to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Boredom, or lose my Ike, I will work that ear whenever I think about it.

If I see any change, I'll post results.

Any predictions?
Can my thumb (or thumbnail) flatten that ear?

    Of course you can do it. After many years and countless hours of effort, if you're ultimately successful, it will be a Pyrrhic Victory, I suppose.

    It sounds like a colossal waste of time to me.

    Coincidentally (?) I see you posted some related questions about coin wear, in a thread from 2014:
    "I have a few ugly key dates and type coins, but with plenty of meat left on them. I've made them into pocket pieces, and as I'm fairly active, I'm hoping they will wear down eventually and look better, like crusty original coins, only lower grade (no coin doctor). But, what is it that actually wears coins down? Is it friction against other coins, mainly? Or sliding them across tables thousands of times? What determines if one is going to be ugly or nice and original? Should I add anything else to my coin pocket other than coins?"
