Hi guys, yes, yes, yes!
I finally pulled the trigger on an old classic modern. The Commemorative I always wanted to buy. Well, here it is. The 2001 proof Buffalo. The owner practically gave it to me, as well. $80. What a coin to add to my collection. Post some of yours too. Ungraded or graded. Thanks :)<3B)

2001 dated NCLT is now considered a classic and old, that is weird. Maybe its just that I'm getting old but I think most would call that modern.

Considering they're trading at north of a hundred I'd say you did well. This coin is proof that popularity, not mintage, drives the market. Coins with similar totals sell for half of that.

$1 modern commemoratives silver with 35,000-50,000 mintage $30? Just paid $32 for mint sealed 2012 infantry set/silver proof and dog tags. Very reasonable indeed. $80 is a great price. I would have found a way to get it,too😉

I’m guessing Joey meant that it’s a classic design on a modern coin.

I think most of us would consider the 2001 Buffalo as a modern commemorative. It’s definitely one of the more popular moderns.

I tend to consider anything before statehood quarters in 1999 to be non-modern.

If it’s older than a YN, it’s not modern!

It’s the first coin that my newly-started collecting brother asked for. He totally loves it
