1973-D Lincoln Cent *ERROR*

Here is an interesting error.

While I am sure that most error collectors are familiar with this coin (CUD #CU-1c-1973D-01), I am pretty sure that you have not seen its capped die strike version...

Very cool double error coin.

I have a similar nickel that is a 50% CUD and struck thru die cap.

Pretty cool errors. My most dramatic error is a bit off center dime and a few small multi-clip cents. Nothing awesome but neat.

I bought this coin raw and sent it to our host for certification.

The coin is triple struck, with the 2nd and 3rd strike off center, struck thru reverse, and broadstruck.

One of the rarest Shield Cent errors on the planet ....
