You know it is my opinion that nobody reaaly cared until Bonds did it. I am not advocating what was done by many players but it is not like just HOF type players were doing it. You also had guys who never made out of the minors doing various substances to improve thier game. Players will do what they feel they can to get an edge or help their teams win. I believe that it came out that McGwire was doing andro during Andro during the 1998 season but that home run race was a great story so no one really cared. I am sure that there are guys in the Hall have taken a substance that we would not agree with, but if we are going to complain that they should never be in the Hall because they cheated. Then would about every playersever caught doctoring their equipment. That is cheating also. What about Gaylord Perry and the spitball. Should he be removed ? I would not advocate. Where do you draw the line? Cheating is cheating. I did not like Bonds or Clemens, never did ( I thought that they were huge (can't say the names on here). However I would vote for to get into the Hall. It is not the Hall of Good Guys or Dale Murphy and Don Mattingly would have been selected on the forst ballott. It is just stuff for us to argue over.
