all coins matter to a hungry person. That said you have a handful of pocket change with an old but worn steel war penny The 1943s. The war penny tells an interesting story of when America had to change pennies to steel due to copper shortages during WW2. That said they made a lot of them and unless in "like new" condition they are only worth about a nickel.

I started collecting back in the early 1950's by going through my parents "pocket" change. Glad you have an interest in coins.

  • Hi, I started collecting pre-decimal Australian coins a couple of years ago:). My first interest in coins was when I was 15 years old and my grandpa gave me a small bronze Roman coin to play with.

The coins you show are pocket change. Even the steel cent is of little or no interest due to it's condition. Why would you think the other coins you show are interesting?

@Toto2334 .... Welcome aboard. Your coins are common pocket change. I suggest you buy a Redbook... very reasonable price at a bookstore. This covers all the U.S. coins by date and mint along with condition values. You will enjoy the hobby more with such a reference. Cheers, RickO
