Does anyone have a 1921 high relief to compare with a 2021?

Would really like to see a comparison side by side

Here’s a TrueView of my 1921 65+ with CAC. I don’t have a 2021 to put by the side of this photo, but feel free to copy my photo to put next to a 2021.

Top Photo of the 1921 High Res is from PCGS CoinFacts ... Bottom Photo of the 2021 is from Robec. So different lighting.

Nice pictures guys.
My Peace dollar is coming today.
A coin in hand to scrutinize instead of a picture. Yeah!

Kennedys are my quest...
Keep in mind the original is high relief, 90% silver 10% copper, and classic uncirculated.
The new ones are standard relief, 99.9% silver and burnished satiny, very big difference in the look.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
The new ones are much better struck. I actually like them better than the original
I agree the new ones have much better detail and strike. I think using the new dies but struck in 90% silver in classic uncirculated would be an even better looking version. Would take more effort cost more to get those blanks again, but they would be the best of two worlds.
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
My two best ones... I just wish I had a 2021 to compare them to.
Collector, occasional seller
Okay, not the best ones I have, fished them out of my "to sell bin", so please use winesteven's picture for better and clearer understanding.

This is a good thread, I like
Now that’s a 1921 I could get on board with!

I wanted to see if the 2021 was really high relief like the 1921

The 1921 is in 64 PCGS plastic, wish I had a nice white 68, or a matte proof for comparison. This will have to do. The Mint did a great job recreating this timeless classic. Anthony DeFrancisci would be proud, that 100 years later his design lives on. Images by myself.

Well, just Love coins, period.
I would like to see a comparison between the 2021 and a 1922-1935 Peace dollar. Is the 2021 perhaps a "medium relief" dollar?
My Adolph A. Weinman signature

The reason why the 2021 peace dollar looks nice is because all the renaissance designs are designed to look nicer with a matte finish as that was the preferred style at the time and assuming they made proof coins in the 1920s with the same matte finish that was implemented starting 1908, they’ll look sort of like the 2021 peace dollar if anything.
Note the change in the number of rays under the ONE and TAIL. Perhaps there is an "error" 4/7 ray out there?

PS: you heard it here first, from me and owe me a piece if you find one!
If anyone has a decent 1921 high relief damaged raw I can borrow I will take it to work and measure it to my new 2021 and will show photos to see if they are the same depth
I promise no damage will happen

That is an absolute stunner, @winesteven.

The 1921 is my favorite coin - this one has been submitted for grading - although it’s been in “quality check” for several weeks so I’m starting to think they may have lost it...!!!
Sometimes people say that about me - that I may have lost it, lol.

I believe it was 2019 when commemorative silver $1 switched to 99.9% silver. Prior to that they were always 90%. Why was the switch made? Just for cheaper blanks?
Actually the blanks in pure silver would cost more, no?
I agree that the mint should have made the 2021 Morgan’s and Peace in 90% and with the same business strike as in 1921... they would be amazing if they had done that.... even PL examples, etc
