Dropped Letter?
Hi guys, These recent 2020 and 2021 Cents are certainly full of many peculiar surprises. Esp. the 2020p I found earlier in the year with an Obverse Die Clash with a partial word, "E Pluribus Unum" below Lincoln's head. Found a few more die clashes on this 2020p Cent as well. Maybe, I'm getting giddy or is this a "Dropped Letter" S? What do you guys think? Thanks again

Thinking you just got some pareidolia there. Plus where would that tiny S have come from?

Yo Emerald can you be just a little more specific please
No, just a random shape.
I see the S now but it is smaller than the the Y
Dang! those are fightin' words.
Well, at least his coin wasn't found in the bottom of a septic tank.
Well he did not say that he didn't find it in a septic tank so.... Maybe that is what the S is for, septic.

It's a dropped micro S.
More like a dropped micro dot.
That brings back memories -

Not a dropped letter.... random mark - yes, it has an S shape. Cheers, RickO
yes, it has an S shape.
Could it be? Captain Obvious

Not a dropped letter error IMO. More likely has some crud on the planchet when struck, and gave imprint of small 's'.
To me, not a dropped letter.

That "S". Did they ever determine what was the reason for the "S" on the Eagle's chest?

Thanks for your help. Yes, your right, interesting story. However, sorry, I must disagree with Jaime Hernandez. or whomever came up with this conclusion about the S mint mark on the chest. Have you ever seen an "S" mint mark similar to this one on the Eagle's chest? On ANY coin? It doesn't even look like a full S?
Neither does the so called "S" that appears on the Lincoln Cent I posted?
