Is this gold coin in a strange slab legit?

I’m asking for a friend that bought his first gold coin recently. I don’t recognize the slab for sure, but maybe a IGC. Is this a legit gold coin? All he wanted was a real gold Eagle coin, he doesn’t care about grades or whose slab it’s in. This is the only picture he sent.

Pretty sure ICG as well although I remember a weird Anacs recently as well
It looks like an ICG holder, but I’m not impressed by the terrible grammar. Never seen mintstate as one word, and one of everything should end with a singular, not a plural. Could be a custom set (like what they’d sell on TV) of some kind, but I’d expect better.
It would help if we could see the front of the slab. ICG is a legitimate grading service and that coin looks like a genuine coin.

Would need better pictures to determine if coin is authentic... Though it looks like it from what I can see. Cheers, RickO
I'm thinking it's either a bulk deal (for TV, like you said) or someone paid for custom labels, and the customer supplied the verbiage. ICG simply produced exactly what the customer asked for, to spec. If this is the customer's verbiage, I think a phone call to the customer from ICG would've been in order to confirm the exact wording (and maybe suggest a better version) as this isn't a good look for their brand.
The holder looks like its been tampered with on both sides. Ask your friend to remove that sticker and provide a pic of the obv.

That surely does look like ICG. Agree, more pictures would be helpful.

Kennedys are my quest...
Not an exact match, but it is close to this IGC holder.
That crimping? It's standard for the ICG holder. Admittedly it can photograph oddly, but that is the normal shape of a genuine holder.
Good point, and probably what happened.
I have an encased cent with just such an issue.
It commemorates the 50th or 60th anniversary of the end of WWII and celebrates veterans with a reference to "veterinary service".
They meant to salute veterans but ended up saluting veterinarians.
The indents on the sides of the slab make it easier to hold so it's actually a functional feature of the slab.
