A BEAUTIFUL Design by Ron Landis

Here is an absolutely beautiful design by Ron Landis. It was originally submitted for the obverse design for what eventually became the Sacagawea Dollar. Not to waste the design, it was used on the exhibitors medal for the 107th ANA Convention. The edge reads: "107th Annual Convention Of The American Numismatic Association. Presented To Exhibitors & Judges For Participation In The Numismatic Exhibition". Mintage is 120.

I didn’t know the mintage was that low on this medal….It really is a great design. Love the edge engraving. You captured the edge detail really well!
Here’s mine.

I just got it back from across the street. It looks AWESOME in the large, oversized holder. I'm so glad I took photos of the edge before sending it in as the edge can't be seen in this type of holder. I made this collage to keep with it.
Ooof. That’s a tough trade off. While I like the slab protection, I’m not sure it’s worth hiding the edge.
Plus they didn’t note the edge graffiti on the label
Landis hand engraved every one of these so multiply that by a few years run and you find there are few hundred of unique hand engraved edges which were all gifted to ANA exhibitors over a few years.
I was gifted mine in 1996 at Denver & asked Ron & then received an autographed COA too.
I'd love to see it Lindy. Can you post photos?
