The interesting ratio: Agree, Like, LOL

I have a theory:
Those that show the most relevant knowledge rapidly grow their Agree count.
Those that show the most pleasing coin images rapidly grow their Like count.
Those that show the most wit (hopefully original) rapidly grow their LOL count.
I'm very impressed by the coin experts who actually have higher Agree count than Like or LOL.
Some people have relatively few LOL, but tons of Agree and Like.
I know and show a little, but I am mostly hilarious... 
My counts look like this:

LOL is also the new disagree button.

No. You can't disagree. They took that option away from us. We couldn't handle disagreement.
A better ratio would be using ones Post Counts To Likes.
Mine would be 13:8

I miss the disagree option. A disagree made me look into why, and I would learn more from 1 disagree than 10 agrees.
Ok since I can't disagree, I will laugh and hope that someone will agree and like my posts or comments.
I also don't think that anyone will promote this.

The disagree button was taken away because some members here were misusing it. If there was someone they had a beef with, they would hit the disagree button on every one of their posts. Fortunately, many of these members were eventually banned.

yes, but not as you stated. the mis-use was in fun, getting those "disagree" totals high. I think I had almost 3k appear in a matter of a week or two before the moderators stepped in and removed that button.
JMHO, but without a "disagree" choice the "agree" and "like" choices are sort of meaningless.
One guy left 5,000+ disagrees in two days just to annoy people he was arguing with. It wasn't all in fun. He was banned and the disagree was removed.
LOLs get used as disagrees now, which is a carryover from social media.
20 years ago on these forums there were no such thing as likes and agrees and LOLs and badges... Now we all have to keep score, and see if we are popular and accepted.
Even though I don't want to play that game, I find myself caring and noticing if people give me that positive reinforcement.

The numbers are fun but largely meaningless. It’s just a way of having extra engagement. I like what they do at MacRumors. They have a single reaction option with a range of things to select.

IMO that should still be an option — carpet bombing others with disagree’s should the feeling arise….I mean you could only add one per post anyways. So if you want to dig up someone’s post history and take the time and attention to do it….have at it!
Many of you turkeys totally deserve all manner of buttons: dislike, abhor, lame, detest…. 😆
But if I could add just one button going forward it’d either be “blah blah blah” or “whatever”

Yep... disagree became a useless weapon... and complaints were many when someone 'disagreed' but would not post 'why' they disagreed.... That was a big complaint. Cheers, RickO
