@dberrier118 .... Welcome aboard.... Not sure if it has a misaligned die (obverse/reverse), but even so, it will not add much value since it is minor. Cheers, RickO
Welcome to the forum! Your coin is fairly common and as others have already said, just worth face value. But it could be the start of a beautiful relationship...

@dberrier118 Beyond asking “is it worth anything” can you give us specific questions that lead you to ask why it’s worth anything beyond face value? It would help us give you better advice.
In case the op is still paying attention, half dollars before 1970 contain silver, and will be worth more than face value.

Although the coin is 47 years old, it's still worth only 50 cents. The problems are, the mintage was over 201 million and very few of these coins saw much circulation. Therefore they are common in Mint State.
The old Red Book I picked up to check the mintage says it's worth $3 in MS-63. I don't think so, but you could always hope. It's worth 50 cents.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Make that before 1971. 1970 half dollars are also 40%.

50C. Not unfortunate, working as designed. ;-)
It looks like the obverse die was slightly misaligned but so little and it’s worth 50 cents
Monetary value aside, if the rotation is as pictured, it's sort of a neat find, and worth keeping.
50 cents all day long

Nice half dollar, and worth its face value.

Fortunately the 1970 half dollar was in sets only, so very slim chance of finding one in circulation.
