New Standing Liberty quarter for my 7070 registry set - and grade now posted in the 1st post

And the grade is - AU-58. This coin basically has full luster, maybe not quite as well struck as some 1917 type 1's, but I'll take this one of a mushy 1926-D with a blurry shield, head and other parts!
I really like the look of this coin, it fits well in my online set. I think the 1917 Type 1's are the best looking in the whole series, usually well struck with mostly full heads and nice shields. Feel free to guess the grade too.
10-4,
Erik

Not too bad a coin. AU?? Not near a fully struck coin. The 1917 P TY1 can be found with terrific strikes.
Here is a good strike on the 17-P

58 no full head

I don't see the wear. I just see some strike weakness and some marks.
Not an outstanding strike for a Type 1, especially a Philly Type 1, but it's an attractive coin.
I'm going to wag it's a 63 or a 64

I couldn't tell for sure if it was circulated or not. That's a real nice 58!
I'll bet that non full head 1917 Var 1 quarter is much rarer than one with with a full head.
Late to the game... but a nice SLQ.... I would be happy with that one...Cheers, RickO
