Those are definitely counterfeits

Thank you
They look cast. The "smashed" edge is the seam between the molds.

Welcome aboard @Corey3.
Cast replicas to me.

Kennedys are my quest...
Thank you
I thought odd that one weighs 7 g
And the other 8.25 g
@Corey3... Welcome aboard.... I agree, cast replicas....weight differential due to different alloy used. Cheers, RickO
Thanks for the info
I'm guessing not worth much, but very interesting to keep with my collection.
I think those are the worst looking counterfeits that I have ever seen !
Thanks , lol
I thought they looked rough and handmade-ish and was hoping they were really old, rare, and valuable, but doesnt seem to be the case .
No us coins of that era look handmade
The artwork will be impeccable
Very crude cast replicas. They may have been 1950's era sales promotion items. They would not have to have been marked "COPY" at that time.
Thanks
That makes sense , I have a few civil war tokens and hard times coins but never knew anything about these and was oblivious to the real or counterfeited existence.
I did better sand casting work in junior high school metal shop when I was 14 years old.
Welcome to the Forum!
Although they're counterfeits, they still have a little "cool" factor. Especially considering how much a real Confederate Half Dollar is worth...

Yes, but except for the "copy" stamped on the reverse, much, much better specimens are available at any Civil War battlefield site gift shop. 😵
Thank you
