I think the Mint should simplify the checkout process by eliminating the credit card part

Today, during the checkout, I had to manually enter the CC info at least 10 times.
And, most problems during the checkout come from waiting the CC info to show up and then enter the 3-digit security code.
Why not the program just uses the "default" CC instead of letting you choose card during the checkout?
And the security code is not needed for many retailers, e.g., Amazon, Macy's etc.
Whatever card you want to use, just make it "default" beforehand, and save a lot of hassle during the checkout for both mint and buyer. Also the shipping/billing addresses, all use "default" ones, do not let people choose.
This will save a lot of transactions between your computer and the mint server.

I thought maybe you meant eliminate credit card payments entirely, and make you pay by cash and coin. Especially coin...

If they just fixed the system itself, so volume could be managed, the hassle would be eliminated. Sure, there are ways to streamline the process, but the system needs to be fixed first. Cheers, RickO

Judging from yesterday, IMO, the people overseeing the I/T side of things at the mint, couldn't care less about customer experience.

No excuse whatsoever for the set up requiring update of credit card or delivery information mid-transaction.

    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!

Maybe like Ticket master where you set up an account and have all your current cc and addresses loaded ahead of time. Then when tix go on sale it’s a one click purchase? A lot of shows are sold out in a few min and the cue holds you in for 2-3 min while you accept the seating or go back to the pool. If it’s not like this, I can understand the frustration.

I actually did place an order for a gift card on Sunday.
I thought it should be like Amazon--once I click the place order button the next second the code should be in my inbox.
To my disappointment, the code arrived late afternoon yesterday, almost 24 hrs.
    Another example of government operation.

I think the Mint should simplify the checkout process by actually letting the purchase go through, rather than logging people off the system when they go to the cart. And then the website wouldn't let me sign in again.

It seems that with every popular coin offered, the website screws things up. Then we get the Mint saying, we didn't anticipate the demand, we can't handle the volume, we apologize and we will fix it for the next time. And the next time the same thing happens. And no one ever is held accountable.

I have said the same thing several times in the past. What's the point of a default CC or shipping address if you have to confirm it every time? It's not a default by definition then, just another selection.
