Post your photos on this forum and wait for the bad news. Being directed to look at photos on another site isn't going to draw much, if any response.
I893-S Morgan Dollars are heavily counterfeited.
first timer here, I just posted the photos
Uh oh.
also I inadvertently posted 2 photos each of the same coin.
Are these supposed to be the two different 93S dollars, or duplicate images of the same coin?
I ask because they look identical?
Did they come with fortune cookies?
as I mentioned before I posted 2 photos each of the same coin by mistake
Definitely not genuine. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
They are counterfeits unfortunately.

Fake, fake ,fake. Why are you buying high priced coins that are not slabbed?
May as well post the other one

At $80,000-100,000 each in ms.low perhaps you can understand some suspicious activity as a possibility. Have you checked it with a magnet? We could use photos front and rear. Remember their are those here who have seen lots and lots of coins. Weight is necessary. And we should be good to go, for now 😉

Definitely appear counterfeit. Sorry

I'm sorry, but this is what I told you would happen when I first saw your images. The pieces are counterfeit and are pretty easily recognized as such.

There’s no need to test the posted coin with a magnet or weigh it. It’s an obvious counterfeit.

At least you got a couple of ounces of silver. . .

thanks to all for your input, very educational for me. I am not an avid collector, I just purchased a few blind lots of coins over the internet, you know the ones from China or Hong kong. Along with the two fake 1893 dollars, the other 8 coins were all fake.. Good thing it was not a great amount of money. Lesson learned. lol

So when you argued with me over my message to you that they were counterfeit and you told me that you knew they were "100% real" you were doing that as someone with no real knowledge and doing it about pieces you bought cheaply over the internet?
Real classy move.

After reading this thread - I assume the 1893S Morgan currently on

NOT
Those are not even good fakes. Not even close.

and there's no need to test with a magnet as there are tons of non-magnetic fakes.
So you bought some cheap junk on the internet and you wanted to see if they were good enough to fool advanced hobbyists why? I suspect you thought If they could fool us you could fool somebody to paying you real money for them? But there is only one fool is this equation and it isn’t this board.
Thinking like that is why you will always be poor and not respected by others.

Fake. One of the easiest coins to authenticate. Several markers. One of the most obvious is the “1” in “1893” lining up directly inline with a rim denticle below.
So, so fake. Pics are also of the same coin.

I’m very curious about the other coins.

This is a PCGS MS 67. Finest known 1893 S.

Just, for all you coin fans out there....
Another marker is a raised diagonal die polish line inside the T of LIBERTY. Only one obverse die was used for this issue so all genuine coins should have this marker. There's a pic of this die marker on the PCGS Coin Facts web site.

@chillbill.... Welcome aboard.... Very obvious fake.... Buying raw coins from Asia is never a good idea.... Good luck in your future purchases. Cheers, RickO
This AU50 sold in June for $21,000. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
For the 1000th time it's the easiest coin in existence to authenticate just buy the obverse alone. One obverse die and two reverse dies were used for the entire 100k struck. If the date doesn't look like the image below, it's no good, no question, no debate, period. As soon as my eyes saw the op's images I knew it was a Chinese counterfeit, complete with fake wear and grime. Some refer to it as shoe polish, not sure what it is.
