Is this a strike through error? 1856 Seated Liberty Quarter?

Hi, I have this 1856 seated liberty quarter It appears to be a strike through error at 7-8 o'clock on the reverse. Expert advice needed. Thanks in advance! Bob.!

    I'm not an expert, but it looks like a lamination to me.

    Delamination would be my guess.

    Looks like a delamination to me.

    I am agreeing with the posters above me ... this looks like a delamination, and is really a very interesting example of that phenomena. Thanks for sharing!
