This piece of NY city street art...hangs on a wall in my home that who ever enters cannot help to see it when entering. It hangs with other works of art....those for decorations...this one as a daily reminder as to the sacrifices made on 9- 11 2001.
This is hung so all who enter my home never forgets...and will always remember, be grateful for all those whom put themselves in harms way to protect, and server us all.
Thank you if you have served, and worn the uniform . May god bless you ,and yours....may he protect you as you protected us.
And those of you who have made the ultimate sacrifice know your sacrifices are not forgoten, and always be honored for all time thoughout eternity.
God bless this country... all who served. Thank you.....for your service.

I will never forget this attack on our country. I recall where I was and what I was doing when the first plane hit, and the second one, shortly thereafter. I knew what it was, instinctively, before it was made official. Cheers, RickO

Very interesting that a CU slab rather than a PCGS slab was used. Anyone know why?

The AA pilot of Flt 11, John Ogonowski, is the brother of a close friend of my wife. She just texted my wife that she's having a real tough time today. This is an event that will never be forgotten nor forgiven.

Perry, the silver eagle above is just a gem uncirculated example with no grade assigned to it and no serial number. Those all have the CU logo on the reverse. The coins that were graded all have the PCGS logo and have serial numbers. I’m sorry I don’t have a scan of the reverse but they have serial numbers on the back.

That Tuesday morning is locked in my mind. I was getting ready for work when my sister called me about the north tower being hit. I turned on the tv a minute before the south tower was hit.
We all went through the day in a daze at work. One of my co-workers from NY’s brother had a meeting scheduled on 9/12 on the 102nd floor of the north tower.

Ironically, it was on this forum I found out about the attack. I got up and always checked to see what was going on, and saw the report. Life has never been the same since.

I was still sleeping, as I have worked second shift for 37 years. My wife called me from her work to tell me to turn on the TV as a tragedy had just taken place. I got up quickly and turned on the TV just in time to watch the second plane hit the second Tower. When I got to work that afternoon I found out that we lost one of our salesmen. He was on flight 175 that hit the second Tower. That day was surreal.

A very sad day for a lot of people.

The killing of innocence. Who forgets traumatic events ? It took a group of nut jobs to take away many of our liberties and freedom.

    Never forget!
I can't really say anything that I really want to say other than, prepare yourselves.

Edit, I'm not saying I think another attack is imminent I'm just saying its great time to be a prepper - Remember the economy that followed...

I was 9 years old. I remember watching it all on TV before going to school, just like it was yesterday. I couldn't quite grasp what had happened, or actually why it happened, my mom had to explain to me that this was an attack on our country.

We didnt do much at school that day either. A lot of teachers had their TVs on and I remember my teacher, looking back on it, might have been in shock.

God bless all those who sacrificed, and god bless this country.

Not my words, but quite a tribute:

"Saw a pretty amazing thing tonight at the gym. This firefighter was on the stair climber in full equipment, including his mask and oxygen tank. After about a half hour, I saw him finishing and taking his gear off so I went over to tell him how much I respected what he was doing. I figured he was training for a firefighter exam, but when I commented on it, he exclaimed, "110 floors! Took me 30 minutes, 10 seconds."

It still brings tears, anger and anguish went I think about that day and the aftermath.

I was at work and a coworker was on the phone with his brother. He got off the phone and simply mention an airplane hit one of the Towers. I have flown the VFR corridor down the Hudson passed the Towers before and wondered how could a pilot collide with one of the Towers on such a clear, sunny day thinking it was a small plane flown by a private pilot.

The news went from bad to tragic as we realized it was an airliner, then a second plane, then one Tower collapsed, then the other Tower went down. I'm 40 miles outside Manhattan and as the day wore on fire crews and EMS from all over Long Island were making their way into the city to help.

I can't say the wound is fully healed for me so I can't imagine what this day is like for those that lost loved ones, friends and coworkers that day.

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin

I was a surgical intern at Dartmouth Medical center watching it all on the big TV in the orthopedic conference room. We though we might see some casualty transfers until it became clear there weren’t that many injured. :(

Before medical school I graduated in civil/structural engineering and worked in a materials testing lab. For some reason I had learned about the construction of the towers and I was familiar with the construction techniques. I suspected the fires would cause the structural steel to fail. Watching that unfold live was gut-wrenching.

I really was pleased the way the country came together for a while though. The world noticed that too.
