Overdates for the weekend

having owned many over the years, nothing quite stokes the collecting juices more than a good old classic redbook overdate. It reminds me of the hand made aspect of the early years 1901 and before when the dies were really hand made. There were some hub induced overdates in the early 20th but even those went the way of the dodo by the 40s. Here the last hand punched overdates
and one of the last US overdates (doubled die) that I know about. Post them if you got them

Here’s my main 3 over dates, assuming the 1 over 1 half cent counts🌞

Love those 1817/3 Halves. I'd love to own one one day.
Here’s a 1824 over various dates…

Love the early overdates...

Not quite an "overdate" per say, but definitely a date logo punch blunder...
OK, this one is a 2fer. 42/1 and 41/1 D

"Minor variety?"
"Inverted Date over Inverted Date?" So both dates are inverted?
LoL well if PCGS wants to correct a "major " mistake?
"That's why I wander and follow La Vie Dansante"
Its the highest graded either detailed or straight grade. Like one of 10 to 15 specimens known!

Does my icon count? 1960-D small over large date cent.

Is the 1943/42-P nickel still the last U.S. overdate discovered? I remember when Del Romines walked into my office at Coin World with the two discovery coins. Somewhere 1976 to 1978.
Edited to add: Probably the 1914/3 nickels, though they are not universally loved.

Lance.
I have one in just about the same grade. And also one of these-
I have both the business strike and the proof of the sm/lg date.
1795/1795 three leaves half dollar

1805/4 wide date
1806/5 wide date

They are interesting. I, like RickO, don’t have any.
Excellent, building a list for next year and an overdate is now on it. ( done with ase’s) going into Buffalo nickels I shall look there.
Need one more new series to collect?🤓🙀 guess it will have to be silver 🤔
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
Very nice, clear overdate! :+!:
Those are 3 really rare die pairs that have similar overdates with different dies (except the 1795 which just has a different rev). I have been looking for the right 1805/4 with the full under 4 like that for years and haven’t found it. Nice die state too

Haven't seen one of these yet.
