1900 Twenty Lib. GTG Grade Revealed

It's an MS-64. I thought it was conservatively graded. In hand it looks gem to my eyes. Thanks to all who graded it MS64+ and above!

I love US gold, but it hasn't been an area of focus for me....Playing around with the idea lately though. I really wanted a decent Twenty Lib. because they are such awesome coins, and I love the reverse design in particular. What do you guys think of this 1900? GTG!

    Yesterday's MS-64. Today's MS-65.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I haven’t cheated (even though it is tempting) but I’m thinking 64+.

A nice coin but I think the dings on the chin, check, nose and spot in the hair keep it at 63+ but short of 64.

Nice 64. Edited to add: I like it! And 1900 really appeals to me as a date.

I looked at two $20 Libs. in MS64 from Legend with a big spread in the next grade years ago that they thought were high end for grade, and they probably got the upward bump finally into 65 holders.

I think on a regrade it would 64+. I’d say probably CAC as well. Here’s my 63 CAC for comparison.

I just can't see that 1904 as a 63. It is very extremely clean. I see that a few of the obverse stars aren't struck up well. Does it have luster issues? Based on the TruViews, it looks considerably undergraded to me.

It has good luster but I think for the date the luster isn’t booming as much as it should. It is remarkably clean from hits, though.

Late to the game...I would have guessed 65.... so a tad high from actual grade. Nice coin. Cheers, RickO
