Burgundy Bust with a bit of a fat lip - NEWP - grade posted

How many ways can I get someone to look at a post?
This was a coin I looked at during lot viewing at the ANA, and put in a bid before I went to Utah on vacation, and was notified I won while I was gone.
I bid as I liked the color and surfaces for the grade ... especially the reverse. The color is a little hard to capture and the luster helps it change in the light. The lip looks very pronounced in the picture, but that also changes at slightly different angles.
Feel free to GTG or offer up any comments ... good bad or indifferent.
Oh yeah, for those who didn't know, I was admitted (committed?) into the BHNC as an Associate Member (AN-06) on July 3rd this year. Had a great time in Chicago meeting other 'Nuts, looking at lots of coins (and even some Currency), and spending a fair bit of money. For those keeping track of my progress, this is #57 (#60 if you count the duplicate marriages).

Still learning the early dates. I’ll withhold the guess
Don’t collect those, but I think AU. Likely high AU.
High AU. She’s pretty.
My guess is AU55 due to some minor scratches. Devices look good. I bet that is a very pretty and distinctive coin when viewed in hand! Congrats!
Edited for spelling!

looks like at least a 55 to me.

Nice O.103, Todd!
I like her. It has that crusty look that I’ve seen on so many of your beautiful busties.
Tough to tell the luster but I’m gonna guess AU53.

Yay! My guess has support.
And if I undergrade maybe I’ll be called a tough grader.
Beauty. Not my area but Ill wager to guess MS63.

Beautiful bust! I say 55
An 1829 Capped Bust Half is not an "early date."
Thanks for all the comments! She has nice luster, enough to warrant a shot at 55 in my opinion, but the obverse is a little scruffy from a few old swipes across the counter or the bar ... she obviously lived a little ... and so I agree with our host and believe she is accurately graded at AU53.
@drddm also got the attribution right, of course!
.
I don't know if there is a consensus on what qualifies as an "early date" for Capped Bust (Turban) Halves, but I would suggest it's not 1829 either.
The 1807 and 1808's have a different reverse design in the eagle and shield, and then in 1834 the portrait was modified some ... and, of course, things change quite a bit further at the end of the 1836 run with the advent of the Reeded Edge and the retirement of the screw press.
If there was a single line in the sand for early and later CBH's, I would suggest it's 1823 and before and 1824 and later, mostly based on mintages, and availability even today for higher grade specimens.

That's a pretty awesome snarl. It looks like she might be saying "I coulda been a contender..."

It's the very rare parakeet variety. Sorry, that's the first thing I thought of after you brought attention to the lips. Anyway, nice coin. AU-55
Au 55/58
She paid her doc for some filler. I think it’s a waste of money.
Very nice.
