Big gains for Walkers on PCGS price guide

Just checked PCGS price guide on Walkers. I was glad to see this series is heading north. This increase was just about across the board.

True for Mint State (business strike) coins, but unfortunately not so for Proofs, which basically remained unchanged.
My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

Maybe I need to get back to working on my proof walker set
My Saint Set
I was thinking the same thing
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
One of the best U.S. coins.... Always liked the WLH... as a kid, that was a lot of money. (yeah, I am that old
). Cheers, RickO
Q: how old is RickO???
A: old enough to go to the bar with a Walker, get a healthy buzz goin' and come home with change!!
Walkers....to the moon!
Two words: Dime taps. Miss those college days.

They have been undervalued for sometime.
I have had a hard time finding the last few MS65 or higher Walkers to finish my short set. People are paying ridiculous money and ive seen some good coins go. Guess this post proves i will need to adjust
A walker not a Walking Liberty Half dollar LOL. Sorry @ricko I couldn't resist.

@keets.... Actually, that is correct... at that time, they still had nickel draught beers at the bar. That would have been five draughts and still have a quarter. Cheers, RickO
Didn't now that.
Looks like they finally updated the 1917-S reverse prices in circulated grades, XF's weren't available at $50 and still can't find them at current levels, raw or slabbed.
Edited to add: Glad I finished my MS-66 short set (1941-47) already, managed to get a handful of the common dates for < $150 when they were languishing. I've been watching this series tick up since the pandemic began and it still seems to be going up steadily.

Agreed.
What I also noticed is that the new, higher prices in some cases are at (instead of usually well above) and even below recent auction records.
The 21P in AU58 jumped to $6250 - which is nice - except the last four records in Coinfacts over the past three years are all above even that lofty number.
I’m still working on my early date set so I hope they don’t ramp up too quick.
I too will start looking at the proofs.

Kennedys are my quest...
Many of the late dates were in a downward trend for a while. Early dates are tough in high grades especially cac approved.
