I myself, would have to choose the

"Bank box of Cents".
Many, many chances to hunt down a wheat (maybe a key date), varieties galore, proofs...
Already found many specialties.
Albeit, no silver!

Please only remember my opening Sig Line.28 40%, 2 90%, key dates (82, 87, 78, etc.) lots of NIFCs over 400, some proofs, some varieties, toners all from searching Kennedy bank boxes of halves. I still have two bank boxes of pennies unopened along with rolls of nickels that will have to wait. So for me the halves has my vote.
You forgot dollars! !
I have been getting halves and small dollar coins, Halves are best for silver and NIFC's and 1976's, not many varieties show up though. Cents are good also right now. NIFC's show up on dollar coins also. For some reason I have not searched many nickels in quite a long time. Dimes are quite blah, but may well be worth searching for all I know. I found a dealer who will buy 1976 half dollars in AU or better for 60 cents each and 1983's for 55 cents each. In my halves ($2000 face value) search for this week, I found 18 rolls of AU or better 1976 halves! and 5 rolls of 1983's.
I voted quarters because there is a lot of varieties, errors, W's, etc., at the current time. Unfortunately I cannot get quarters right now.
I'd say half followed by a close box of dimes
Over the years I've had the best luck with cents. I even found a 1912 in a roll...it was clearly a metal detecting find that somebody spent but I was thrilled. I've found every year consecutively back to the mid 1930s (I want to say 1935 but I forget) and quite a few Canadian as well.
I never got a bank box of coins. I would just ask for rolls of halves....Never found a lot...best find was a WLH - once. And I searched a lot of rolls. Cheers, RickO
Me thinks there's more errors to find with quarters. But what do I know. Peace Roy

Quarters for the W's and sometimes silver
Halves have pretty much had all the silver plucked from them.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
Never had a box of coins. What is a NIFC? Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet, but my brain can't figure out what it is. If I had to choose a box I would choose half and look for silver.

I've had decent finds with all but quarters. Halves and cents are my faves.
Though I’ve many times been skunked with halfs, when I have run into a vein of silver it’s been most thrilling.
With cents, there is a lot more action as a percentage of the volumes. I still get a little thrill in finding any wheat cents, and there just seems to be more variety and possibilities. It doesn’t help matters that I don’t care about Kennedy varieties at all! It’s only silver I’m interested in with halfs. Cents just give me more joy of the hunt!

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I have only searched brand new boxes of all same year and mint mark looking for "repeatable" errors.
In reality, I had good luck in all bank boxes in all denominations. And I had bad luck in all bank boxes in all denominations.

Most profitable. Half dollars! Many silver results. Even found a 1972d "no FG" variety. Sent in to PCGS. Came back cleaned. Still cool coin.

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.I have found searching halves bank rolls to be a waste of my time, but obviously some feel it is worthwhile. Then again I'm older than dirt and am running out of time. I can work part-time for low pay (35/hr) doing mostly boring work (PC repair) but it nets me more than roll searching and is much less frustrating.
NIFC=Not Intended For Circulation. For half dollars the NIFC Kennedy's are 1987 (these are only available in mint sets) and 2002-2020 issues. These issues were only available in rolls and mint sets ordered from the mint. Supposedly none of these were placed in circulation. However, if there was an overrun, the mint would put the overrun coins in circulation anyways. The 1987's are the hardest to find, but I have found a few. Sacagawea (now Native American) dollars dated after 2001 are NIFC's, along with the innovation dollars, but they are still found in rolls. I have found multiples of most NIFC's in both halves and dollar coins.
The mint has announced that they will make a lot of 2021 Kennedy half dollars, so the 2021 Kennedy halves will not be NIFC issues.
Cents are nice!
