Credit Card pinged but no Order Number

So this morning the 4 piece gold was available for a good bit of time (3 mins) and I decided to pick up another one. I go through carting and checkout and the order does not go through and kicks me back to the cart. I figured I put in the wrong cc info or something so try again with the same result. Then I try again with paypal and still no order conformation. Then I get an email that my card was hit with the pending transaction but there is no processing order with the mint and I never received the order confirmation page or an confirmation email. Has anybody had this happen to them before???

Never had that happen with any Mint order.... Suggest you call them direct. Cheers, RickO

It happened on another product but I can not recall which. Called the mint and they said there is no order and the charge will drop off which it did, i just dont understand how the payment part of the order goes through without an order. The previous coin was a quick up and down in the morning but today the 4 piece was up for a few mins.

Never had this happen.
For the last few years, I purchase gift cards prior to a release.
Then I use them for the purchase. This does help when you are trying to buy "unavailable items" that suddenly pop up for sale.

Is that some how faster then having paypal selected and then just hitting the terms accept box?

Yes. I too have a PayPal account with the mint, but it sometimes drags on approving the purchase.
You just add the gift card #'s / code. I cut and paste it in the box so if something goes wrong it is a quick redo.
The mint verifies it and tells you how much it is worth.
When you get to the check out, it is paid for then and there with no worries of something going wrong
with a credit card or awaiting for PayPal to approve the transaction amount.
Test it out on a cheap mint purchase that you want to buy.

Did you use gift cards for the Morgan and peace dollar release? I don’t think it’s available for a pre-order but am just politely asking ? If not then cc is all thats left. People posting about PayPal having problems on the initial day of release. Again just a polite question? Thanks 🤓🙀

Yes, I used the gift certificate to purchase a 2021 Peace dollar.
The entire transaction took me less than a minute as I had filled in all the required information prior to the mint's release time of 12 EST.
All I had to do was put the coin into my bag, go to check out and then hit the confirmation prompt.

I do not do pre-order. Do you pay in advance prior to the coin's public release or is it taken directly out of your credit card after they are released?
I would call the mint and ask about the pre-order program and if gift cards are an option.
