"Hey, would you mind checking out my Great Grandfathers coins for me??" (PCGS grade posted!)

Was asked by a coworker today to check out a small accumulation for her - and immediately noticed what appears to be a circulated pattern - now this is fun!
11-6-21 - grade arrived via email today!

A circulated pattern. Now that is something that really is an unusual find in such a lot. The rest of the lot looks very typical.
Holy cow !
That never happens........
What an awesome situation
How cool is that? The stories it might tell!

What a great find!
Big thing
Small package
I got asked to look at a coworker’s Grandpa’s collection today, too. Hopefully I’ll get to see it this weekend. I’m hoping to get to see something as cool as that!
I get people come in all the time with similar accumulations in change purses, pouches, cigar box, etc, but nothing like the pattern you posted, cool find
Does anyone recognize that pattern? Couldn't it be a token?
Now you have to tell her that because the coins aren’t new and shiny, unfortunately they’re only worth a few dollars, but you’ll pay $100 because you’re very generous.
Given @Lakesamman already attributed it, I’m guessing it’s not a token.
Huh. RARE L@@K FROM ESTATE, indeed!

Very cool find. In all the times I have been asked to "Look at these old coins my ***** had.", I have never come across something like that. Mostly old Morgans, a couple of SLQ's etc.. Cheers, RickO
A diamond found in the rough.

Wow, I don't know much about patterns and for some reason they never really cross my mind. This is a very interesting coin for someone to have in their collection like that. You never know what you'll find.
A fairly wealthy family at my church has asked me to look at one of the fathers coins as well. I was hopeful, until I asked what all kinds of stuff he had. "He had several albums full of state quarters and presidential dollars..." was the response. My hopes shattered a bit
Ahhh, so he did - I need new glasses!

That is a great "in the wild" discovery.
Well I'll be dipped in......! What a discovery. Let's study it together. Peace Roy

Wow! And here I was expecting to see silver certificates, $2 bills, Bicentennial Ike dollars, circulated wheat cents, and some 1964 Kennedy halves...
What fun! The Austria 2 kreuzer (underneath the pattern) stumps a lot of collectors at first. Should be easy to identify the rest.
